Our client is an award winning top interactive agency. The Digital Advertising Group is a small team of innovation driven creatives, Flash programmers and production specialists creating bleeding-edge work for our Fortune-500 clients. They are regularly setting new standards (literally!) in the industry, creating media, sites, video and games that are so forward-thinking, they haven’t even made it up on our own site yet.

They need a skilled and dedicated, self-motivated designer/developer — or as Adobe prefers to call this person, a “Devigner.” What they’re looking for: A person to join our team who is excited about trying new things, who loves to create cool little widgets, who is not afraid of learning and teaching and sharing, who has an eye for design and an “ear” for rhythm in their work (especially important with online advertising!), and who is interested in becoming part of our family of developers.

Key Responsibilities:

Animates and Programs Flash OLA Units; AS2 or AS3, OOP comfort a must.
Contributes own sense of visual integrity, animation timing, flow and UI planning to all projects.
Consults with Creative team during conception phase, helping to vet projects and suggest new technologies that will be incorporated into final units.
Contributes to pitch strategies: how Digital Advertising capabilities can strengthen a proposal, then prototypes and integrates these technologies in conjunction with R/GA tech and/or third-party vendors.

Works with Rich Media vendor platforms to create seamless handoff for trafficking of OLA/RM units.

Skills requested:

An understanding and appreciation for detail in your work — and noticing and respecting detail in work others produce, and that you will collaborate on.
A strong ActionScript 2 (or 3) background, writing classes and collaborating on medium to large scale coding projects. In other words, if you know “a little ActionScript,” this job probably isn’t for you, unfortunately.
Experience integrating video into online media.
A general understanding of Rich Media specs, best practices and definitions. Experience with Rich Media vendor templates, practices & API’s a huge plus.

A working knowledge of Photoshop/Fireworks. Illustrator, After Effects and 3D also a plus.

Your role as a Flash Developer:

As a Flash Developer, your primary job will be to develop and implement designs technically, relying upon creative elements and art direction provided. The Flash developer bridges the gap between design and programming by applying a variety of technologies in development of the presentation layer.

A Flash Developer:
• Is responsible for designing and developing highly interactive Flash applications that
may include interaction with video and audio, and integration with a variety of back end

Qualifications include (but are not limited to):

Full Time Salary – Negotiable (Need 3 Full-timers to cover 24×7 6 days a week)

Provider is required to set up a streaming server on buyer’s website using RED5 and FFMPEG for encoding video files for dynamic delivery (creating 5 .flv files for different internet connection).

Provider must have Code Igniter because the site is in CodeIgniter, RED5 and FFMPEG experience. These modules are building on existing structure. Websites given as reference will be verified.

All modules are interconnected with each other and intensive ecommerce viewable on Window IE and Mozilla and Macintosh. Detailed document for each module and jpgs of page layouts will be shared with the provider chosen.

1. Install and configure FFMPEG and RED5 (streaming server) on a linux dedicated server for streaming on the website which includes live broadcasting and OnDemand movie/video and audio streaming.

2. Producer/Presenter (PP) Membership feeds all OnDemand content and 30% of Live Broadcasting shows. PP is heavy with file uploads, two-way payments, reports, tracking, reviews, ratings and DVD sales. All done in codeigniter 1.7, Web 2.0

3. Ondemand – a codeigniter interface has been built for approved members to upload 700M – 1.5G movie/video files. These files need to be encoded for dynamic delivery (5 formats which is automatically selected dependent on visitor’s internet connection.) H264 and VP6 quality. Member can pay for a movie with reward points, gift certificates, etc. Admin payment to producers need to be setup as well as producer payment to buyer. Reporting of content payment, viewing statistics needs to be setup.

4. Live Broadcasting- Streaming from over 30 locations around the world with 10+ broadcasting at the same time. Save streaming content every 5 minutes so all of broadcast is not lost should there be interruption in connection. These saved live broadcasts in turn become ondemand offerings for those who missed the live broadcast. The streaming files should also be done with dynamic delivery, H264 and VP6 quality. I need education here as to how the live broadcasting should be so it is efficient. Members can schedule, pay for public and private broadcast. Those who miss the live broadcast can pay and watch the recording.
