Silverlight & Expression Blend Designer

Overview:
A major European Investment House with a global reach is seeking to grow its FX business within an aggressive timespan with substantial investment in trading systems.
Team
The successful candidate will be joining a highly successful global technology team responsible for supporting and driving the growth of all the global FX business. This includes the full set of diverse products that make up the FX business including Spot, Forwards, NDF's and Vanilla and Exotic Options initially and other asset classes (MM, Rates, Credit, Equity) afterwards.
The team is engaged in a major software development project to create a scalable e-commerce trading platform to lead the bank into the next decade. The project will look at
• Utilising fully integrated state-of-the-art Silverlight technology
• Building out an FX platform capable of handling low latency, high throughput eCommerce requirements.
• Creating a single Risk Framework to handle all FX products and hedging instruments, including real-time risk for the flow business.
Role:
Silverlight and Expression Blend Designer is required for eCommerce eTrading systems. This role would involve strong Analysis of requirements and ability to visualise creative goals of the overall project. Design a complex, yet usable commercial feel to the critical front end of the platform. High quality and standards as well as a keen eye for detail is essential. Deep understanding of commercial design and how it could be transfered and utilised by an Investment Banking entity for a commercial purpose. Candidates should have confidence and feel very comfortable working and leading rapid sketch; test usability and to refine or rethink iterations using internal resources and users in a mix of guerrilla and ad hoc situations. You will be able to communicate at all levels and illustrate ideas using basics such as pen and paper and Adobe Illustrator.
