full time Senior Flash Developer

at Sapient Interactive in Santa Monica, CA

A kick ass Flash Developer to join our development team. We are a collective team of talent that create, build develop projects for R & D, interactive sites, applications/tools, dynamic banners and kiosks for our diverse global brands.

An actionscipt fan that dreams up things day & night.

Essentials: – AS 3.0 – able to collaborate, work and play well with others – Flash MX or 8 – create object oriented projects/modules

Responsibilities:
• Ability to mentor junior team members
• Apply your visual design skills to create dynamic and complex Flash Designs.
• Detail oriented and quality focused
• Involvement in the conceptual phase of projects
• Being able to fully execute assets by using ActionScript 2.0
• Understanding of Video codec’s and advanced video encoding options in Flash.
• Flash (MX or 8), HTML, XML, Dreamweaver, JavaScript, ActionScript, Fireworks, audio and video editing, DHTML, and CSS. I would not include these as responsibilities. These skills would be defined in what is currently the site Dev role. I would look to grow this role a bit more strategically. RIA is beginning to play much larger role in development. People in this role should be driving towards a larger view of development. Here they should have a good sense of the “microsite” dev cycle……..
• Understanding of 3rd party implementations and extensions (SWF 3D, SWFObject, ZINC, Zoomify, Moses Supposes, Zigo Engine, Fuse Objects, Penner Easing).
• Active Flash, Flex, Apollo Developer Community involvement.

• Macromedia Developer Certified (within 90 days)
• Optimization of creative elements for varying bandwidth and platform requirements
